Committed to Sustainability
Conferences create a lot of waste. Our goal is to drastically reduce the carbon footprint of ComNet. We are committed to sustainable practices at ComNet23, including:
Recycling or upcycling everything we create/use via TerraCycle boxes and partnering with local organizations to reuse materials.
Limiting plastic silverware and drinkware, and providing water refill stations (remember to bring your bottle!)
Sourcing local and sustainable food options
Intentionality around reducing swag. We’ve reimagined our process to limit waste and support local organizations.
Using sustainable (recycled/recyclable/compostable) materials whenever possible, including conference signs and name badges!
Championing Diversity, Inclusion + Accessibility
The Communications Network is committed to providing a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for all, regardless of race, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, or religion.
We are committed to centering access and will be providing ASL interpreters and remote real-time captioning (CART) for all Keynote Sessions.
